Investing in Local and Regional Workforce Infrastructure
The bulk of workforce planning and development is done, and will continue to be done at Trust and Board level. But new resources will be made available to support the creation of a network of dedicated workforce officers. And sensible workforce development in some areas needs to be carried out above Board level. So three Regional Workforce Co-ordinators will be appointed to co-ordinate the networks in their areas and to linked to service developments at a regional level. Conventions will be held in autumn 2002 in each regional area to aid the process.
