Description: |
New requirements to promote the safe and effective use of controlled
drugs have been introduced in the UK Health Act 2006 and the Controlled
Drugs (Supervision of Management and Use) Regulations 2006 (the
Controlled Drugs Regulations). The three key elements of the new
legislation are: the appointment of Accountable Officers; cooperation
between health bodies and other organisations for controlled drug
purposes; and new powers of entry and inspection. |
