Data & IT Subgroup
The data and IT sub group of the NAC on CHD aims by 2006 that data on patients with CHD to be linkable across distributed databases to describe the complete patient journey. Clinicians will be able to access all the information they require to treat the patient and to evaluate and monitor the quality of care.
Remit
• To support development of integrated patient databases for CHD and Stroke in line with eHealth strategy
• To improve the quality of information for clinical effectiveness
• Establish a prioritised work plan, linking with other CHD and Stroke initiatives
• Monitor and report on progress to the NAC.
