National Advisory Committee on Stroke
The National advisory Committee on Stroke was established in October 2002, to oversee the recommendations in the stroke element of the Coronary Heart disease and Stroke Strategy. The Membership of the Committee reflects the multi-disciplinary nature of stroke care. A membership list is provided in the pull down menu below.
Remit of the NAC
• Advise the Executive on all aspects of stroke including the stroke element of the CHD/Stroke Strategy .
• Ensure stroke services develop in line with the CHD and Stroke Strategy.
• Take responsibility for future work on the allocation of additional funding and monitoring of spending.
• Review the work of the Sub-Groups.
