The Scottish Partnership Forum organises a range of events to promote and support partnership working in the NHSiS. Regional Partnership Workshops The SPF has organised three series of Regional Partnership Workshops in recent years. The first workshops were established to seek views on the content of the NHSiS HR Strategy. The second to report back on that consultation exercise. The last workshops were held in November 1999 in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Perth. They gave an opportunity to report on the work of the SPF and to receive feedback from trusts, health boards and their local staff sides. The main aim of this round of workshops was to report on the development of the SPF and to promote the devolution of partnership at local level. A report of these workshops can be accessed below: Regional Partnership Workshops - November 1999 Annual Partnership Conference The SPFs first annual partnership conference was held on 11 December 1998, attended by 370 members of staff and trade unions from throughout the Service. The conference was widely welcomed as an opportunity to exchange views and information and to promote the partnership approach to employee relations. The second annual partnership conference was held on 3 December 1999 at Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh. The Minister for Health and Community, Susan Deacon gave the keynote address at the start of the conference, launching Learning Together the NHSiS Education and Training Strategy.
