Fireworks Injuries.The figures released on the 28th August 2003 by the Information and Statistics Division for the Scottish firework injuries showed a second yearly rise of 35%, (total injured was 120), of whom 55% were aged under 16 years old. In response, the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr Andrew Fraser has alerted NHS Boards and Trusts and requested support in terms of targeted publicity from the Association of Chief Police Officers and Chief Firemasters in Scotland.

Replacement of Single Adsorbed Diptheria Vaccine for Adults and Adolescents by Combined Tetanus/Low Dose Diptheria Vaccine.Adsorbed diptheria vaccine for adults (d) is being replaced by the combined Tetanus/lowdose diptheria vaccine for adults and adolescents (Td) for all routine uses.
