NATIONAL SCOTTISH SURVEY OF PUBLIC ATTITUDES TO MENTAL HEALTH, WELL BEING AND MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS

A survey, compiled by NOP Research Group's Social and Political division, was commissioned to assess people's understanding of mental health and well-being, sources of information about mental health issues, experience and perceptions of mental health problems, and attitudes towards mental health problems and people who suffer from them. 'CHOOSE LIFE' - LAUNCH OF THE NATIONAL STRATEGY AND ACTION PLAN ON SUICIDE PREVENTION IN SCOTLAND
A National Stategy and Action Plan, aimed at addressing the rising rate of suicide in Scotland, was launched by Malcolm Chisholm, Minister for Health and Community Care on 2 December 2002. The Action Plan can be viewed by clicking here.
