PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT STRUCTURES FOR THE NHS |
|
A pre-consultation Patient Focus and Public Involvement, published in December of last year, outlined proposals for developing the structures that support public involvement in the NHS including local Health Councils. To inform the development of a formal consultation paper, the Scottish Consumer Council and Scottish Health Feedback were commissioned to undertake a pre-consultation to gather opinions on the form of these proposals. The attached report summarises the outcome of the pre-consultation process. Copies of the report are being issued widely and further copies can be obtained from Ms Jan Quinn on 0131 244 2839 or by email. The Scottish Executive Health Department is currently considering the report's conclusions and recommendations. A consultation paper is being developed which will issue for a three-month consultation period in June. To download a copy in Adobe PDF format please click here. Please send any comments you have regarding the Pre-Consultation to Jan Quinn at the following address or by email. Scottish Executive Health Department
