Introduction

This site has been developed to provide information for practices and others involved in GP & Primary Care premises issues. It has been designed to enable users to seek out best practice solutions to accommodation problems within their premises as well as the procurement routes available for new or extended facilities.
The main items include:
  • how to evaluate your premises
  • guidance on the essential characteristics of primary care premises provision including options available under the General Practitioner Premises Directions
  • how to progress a premises development proposal
  • examples of good practice for new build and conversion, whether Health Centre, surgeries or medical centres
    •
