The Facing the Future Group is responsible for ensuring that
the themes and Action Plan commitments established in the
'Facing the Future' report are driven forward.
The Group is chaired by the Minister for Health and Community
Care, supported by the Chief Nursing Officer and the Health
Department Director of Human Resources. It includes a cross-section
of stakeholders reflecting those of the initial convention:
frontline nurses and midwives and their leaders, trade unions
and professional organisations, and others drawn from human
resources, medical and other health care professionals, and
the education and private sectors.
