Description

The purpose of this communication is to inform you of updated UK arrangements for the sharing of information between GPs or other suitably qualified and GMC registered medical doctor practitioners (hereby referred to as GPs/GP Practice in the rest of the document) and the Police at the time of grant and renewal of firearms and shotgun certificates, as well as for applications for registration as a firearms dealer, for reasons of public safety. The new arrangements will start on 31 January 2022.
