Description

Two sets of regulations made under the National Assistance Act 1948 will come into force on 9 April 2012. This circular provides information on the content of the regulations. In particular it confirms the revised Personal Expenses Allowance (PEA) of £23.50 from 9 April 2012 for local authority supported residents of care homes; confirms further amendments to the financial assessment for residential care from 9 April 2012; and attaches a revised version of the Charging for Residential Accommodation Guidance.
