Jacqui A Lunday - Chief Health Professions Officer

Jacqui was appointed as the Chief Health Professions Officer in April 2006 and before that first Allied Health Professions Officer in the Scottish Executive Health Department in September 2002. She is responsible for the provision of advice to Ministers and the Executive on professional matters affecting the 9 AHP Groups and the 51 Healthcare Science Professions as well as the development and implementation of related policy areas. She is based within the Nursing and AHP Education Branch and works closely with colleagues from a range of departments across health, education and social care. In addition she works closely with a range of related agencies such as NES, NQIS, NHSHealth Scotland and NHS24 on issues affecting AHPs and the wider healthcare team. She also links with the UK professional and regulatory bodies as well as partnership organisations.
